Good morning all.
Davey and Swinson both apparently saying they won't go into coalition with a Corbyn-led Labour.
That carefully doesn't rule out other arrangements, of course.......

Yes, I've noticed both seem to be promising large sums of money here there and everywhere.
Boris saying that public sector workers will get a pay rise will cause most of his supporters - and the usual suspects - heart failure. I suspect that many of them would rather they be sacked. Or privatized.

If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

Well at least we won't have to listen to lectures about "living within our means" ever again I suppose.

Not just huge spending commitments, but massive tax cuts too.RogerOThornhill wrote:^^^

Fiscally sound, in a way, governments do need to spend in a recession to support the economy.
it really underlines the incredible damage the Tory party is contemplating unleashing on the country. Boasting about the enormous amount of borrowing and spending that's going to be needed to dig us out of the hole they are deliberately and enthusiastically getting us into is one of the most surreal moments in politics we are ever likely to witness. All pretty moot, hopefully, given a hung parliament unlikely to be willing to sanction any of it.

So apparently the MP for Streatham was a member of the LibDems before he ever joined Labour. Or so Chuka is now saying, anyway.
I suppose that why he presented himself as the "left choice" when going for the Labour selection in his seat before the 2010 GE.......

Hunt has come out for pretty uncompromising No Deal. McDonnell says Labour is moving to a more openly Remain position.
Game on.
