There must be a word for people that revel in doing things that most would avoid,,or possibly two,I also like jumping up and down in bins.

Crucially of course I have choice and endeavour zero ego/concern about "status",respect yourself, don't take yourself too seriously ,maintain perspective on what really is important.IMHO .You can realise "ambitions";utilise knowledge and skills such as they are on any way you wish.To be honest,I've done my "real job" as far as I am concerned "Thankyou for being you" can't get any higher.

Morning all.
I heard the sound of distant thunder and then the cat, who had gone for a post-breakfast wander to the bottom of the garden, raced back to the safety of my room.
Ah...here's the rain. Lovely to stand at open doors into the garden and just appreciate the cooling down effect.

The laziness, deceit, negligence, conspiratorial and discriminatory based nature of putting evidence based opinion concerning the Cabinet members into a "Corbynite"box ,continues unabated.Funny enough I have no need to be co-ordinated and my opinion has nothing to do with Norris the belisha beacon affiliation.

...Frieda was sharp, abominably sharp, and quite capable of remarking, "You love one of the young gentlemen opposite, yes?" The remark would be untrue, but of the kind which, if stated often enough, may become true; just as the remark, "England and Germany are bound to fight," renders war a little more likely each time that it is made, and is therefore made the more readily by the gutter press of either nation. Have the private emotions also their gutter press? Margaret thought so, and feared that good Aunt Juley and Frieda were typical specimens of it. They might, by continual chatter, lead Helen into a repetition of the desires of June. Into a repetition--they could not do more; they could not lead her into lasting love. They were--she saw it clearly--Journalism; her father, with all his defects and wrong-headedness, had been Literature, and had he lived, he would have persuaded his daughter rightly.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... rie-waters
It may be just me but someone who has just been hired for her skills in digital media might not be particularly good at it given the above. Either that or she's just lying. However, a source close to Westley said she regretted the comment and that at the time she did not know Waters’ beliefs, which she did not support or endorse, and believed were “reprehensible”.
Before the tweet was sent, Waters had been recorded while standing for Ukip in the 2015 general election calling for mosques to be closed and for a complete halt on all Muslim immigration to the UK.
She was also barred by Ukip from standing for the party in the 2016 London assembly elections because of her role in Pegida.

I think he's got a bit of a "poster-boy" image and following (he was the bloke who tried to save the policeman who was attacked outside Parliament and, I suppose to many, he'd be considered quite good-looking) with some sections of the Conservatives. So, if for that reason alone, he was bound to be for the chop!citizenJA wrote:I don't know the former Defence minister but he's got a wonderful name - Tobias Ellwood - like a character out of an Edith Wharton storyPorFavor wrote:Tobias Ellwood (Defence) has been sacked.

Well, at least Suella Braverman hasn't been given a job.
Interesting that some of the op ERG people are on the outside apart from Mogg who as Leader of the House can't be really be seen to go against the PM.

No, I was just trying to keep up morale.
I love the environment like I love my family. I like trains and other public transportation projects giving people the option of not owning a motor vehicle. I'm not convinced HS2 is part of essential infrastructure.
