- finally out in the open now - must take his share of responsibility for the miscalculation that dancing round the real numbers in the hope that the #Brexiteers could be coaxed to accept
@theresa_may
deal was a huge mistake in retrospect.

Good to see somebody about!
In other news, the opposition have apparently been granted a limited degree of access to the civil service.
Unlike some things that are claimed as such, a pretty genuine ELECTION KLAXON.

We would have helped at D-Day but we had bone spurs, say Kurds.

As some have pointed out Kurdish forces did play a part in WW2, aiding the Allies in removing Iraq's pro-German regime in 1941.adam wrote:We would have helped at D-Day but we had bone spurs, say Kurds.

Following his Brexit is the new Berlin Wall coming down nonsense Gove is now claiming that the SNP want to separate families.

Re: Thursday 10th October 2019
Question Time report tonight from Beckenham, which seemed to be somewhere daan saaf in Laandaan.
Let's get Julia Hartley-Brewer out of the way first shall we? If I do it now the smell may have abated by the end of this post if I leave the window open. Julia has spent years denying climate change and railing against climate scientists and this very evening described Extinction Rebellion as a 'death cult'. So I couldn't help but laugh and offer some choice expletives when she claimed to be using facts. What she in fact did was cherry pick and misrepresent quotes from the U.N's IPCC report which is one of the most terrifying documents I've ever read. Her perfect job would have been making the trailers for those shit 70's 'Confessions of a...' films where you thought you were going to see loads of sex but in fact it was almost entirely Robin Askwith cleaning windows getting a quick glimpse of Linda Bellingham's boobs. Or was that the one where he was a driving instructor? I think it may have been. Anyway my point being that what she cherry picked had no resemblance to how horrifying the thing was as a whole. I had previously offered the opinion that Julia wasn't as thick as she was making out to be and it was an act for money. I now take that back.
For Labour we had Lisa Nandy. I've liked Lisa for a long time now, which sounds kinda creepy but actually I think she's a principled and pragmatic MP. I'm a fan despite us existing on either side of at least Labour's Brexit divide. And again tonight she talked a lot of sense. Unlike idiots like Caroline Flint she actually appears sincere in her wish for a brexit deal of some description with the EU, rather than just being desperate to hold onto her job, and unwilling to pander to the tories and vote for any old shit Johnson offers. She also put Hartley-Brewer in her place on climate change. Respect.
For the Tories we had good old Grant Shapps. Clearly the world has gone to shit when Grant...Michael Green...whatever, the shiftiest of shifty bastards under Cameron now seems like one of the 'good' guys. What once was monstrous and laughable is now the Tory middle ground. We on the left mocked Grant mercilessly and yet now he's almost akin to an ally. Interesting times.
For Extinction Rebellion we had Rupert Read, a philosophy lecturer who doesn't like to play by the rules. I support the guy's cause but his display of monomania left me despairing. You're not going to persuade the general public of the righteousness of your cause if you link every subject to climate change.
"Should we be allowed to eat on trains?"
"Soon there wont be any trains, or any food, or any humans, in fact our entire planet will bake and only those most hardy creatures able to survive will take the next evolutionary step, it's happened before."
Also we had Theo Paphitis, I have only a vague notion of who this guy is, he seems to put on a ridiculous almost Dick Van Dyke cockney accent and got himself in trouble as a former leaver by saying we should have another referendum.
