Morning all.

Good to see that the PM has total and absolute trust in his cabinet colleagues...
With talks on a knife edge, Boris Johnson has cancelled today's Cabinet meeting to avoid the potential for leaks that could derail delicate discussions.

Cameron came to power saying that lobbying was the next biggest scandal waiting to happen, and then identified trades unions and charities as the heart of the problem and tried to restrict what they could do...

I think any success sport has constructively channelling aggression helping prevent violence depends on everyone participating; watching others compete isn't enough.

I wonder whether they are the same kind of algorithms that (i) suggest that I, as an Essex supporter, might want to also follow Middlesex, Surrey, Leicestershire etc and (ii) suggest that I, as someone who is a jazz/improv listener, thinks that I would want to go and see Rick Wakemen and Phil Collins?

If so, I can see why there might be issues...

More surprises!

UK jobs market 'shows signs of slowing'

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-50053747
The unemployment rate unexpectedly rose to an estimated 3.9% (between 3.7%-4.1%) in the June-to-August period from 3.8%, after the number of people in work unexpectedly fell by 56,000, official figures showed.
Poorly written.

Well both of those have at least dabbled in "jazzy" stuff, so I've seen worse ;)

Why do the woke left and Remainer elite hate Priti Patel so much? It’s because she’s an immigrant with right-wing views. These people loathe non-whites who deviate from what they consider to be correct thinking. It is outright racism, says Brendan O’Neill
She's not though - born in Islington.

But if you assume that just because she's not white she's an immigrant, what does that make Brendan I wonder?

There's lots of reasons to dislike Priti Patel but race isn't one of them...

Can't remember the last time Spiked said anything that wasn't blatantly, drearily predictable. Not a great look for self-styled "iconoclasts", you might think?

All signs seem to be that Johnson is trying to get support for NI staying in a customs union.

Rumour is that he will accept an Irish Sea "border" - the DUP won't like that surely?

Might be a calculation that they can get it through the HoC without DUP help.

I just had a bizarre vision of Sinn Fein arriving in Westminster to vote for Johnson's deal.

He'll offer them a border poll in the strange belief that they will have forgotten all about it by tomorrow.

We're screwed. Again.

Also I'm leaving TalkTalk and they keep offering me free beer and pizza and hot chicks and stuff to stay with them and when I got in about 20 minutes ago I'd been cut off for not paying their final bill which I disputed because it included calls I'd apparently made that never happened.

Previously when I'd had to argue such a case it took about 4 hours, curiously this evening it took about 4 minutes. And they can still go fuck themselves. I'm off to Post Office broadband because Vince Cable told me it was good and a Lib-Dem never lies.

When it comes to it the ERG and DUP will vote to support Johnson.

He's their man.

Which leaves all this in the hands of the Tory 'rebels' and Labour party Mps like that twat Kinnock.

If Johnson has all the Tory Party and the DUP he only needs 10 other votes.

And I think we all know those votes are there for him.

At least 5 will come from the Labour party.
