You can see the reasoning behind the sudden "conversion" - all the time that it was winding up those silly lefty environmentalists, the right loved it...but then they realised that it was happening in the North. Which, oddly enough, has a lot of voters who might not be too happy with earthquakes...

It'll be interesting to see what the Brexit Party manifesto says on this - well, on anything really.
If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

Not really a ban though, is it? Big bloody loophole sitting right here:
The government said it would not agree to any future fracking “until compelling new evidence is provided” that proves fracking could be safe.
You would think that the Graun, with it's green 'credentials', would choose a better headline.
