No Michael Gove, Boris Johnson did not move from ‘square one to a deal’ in 90 days. That’s pretty much a fib. He largely took the May deal and gave in on a border in the Irish Sea.
The Guardian even did a page-by-page analysis of both to show the significant chunks of what had been left untouched from May to Johnson.

The Tory Party are a bunch of utter shits and a stain on humanity.

My comments are heartfelt and unapologetic.

I note that The Brexit Party are having one or two issues with their newly-chosen candidates...

A fourth candidate, Jill Hughes, is reported to have been dropped as candidate for Batley and Spen in Yorkshire by the party over bizarre historical social media posts in which she claimed to have come from the star Sirius.

No confidence vote in local candidate in the summer. NEC said no actual procedure to remove, nothing they could do. Candidate decided to ignore vote and stay on. Party worked out a way to just get on with it, things being as they were. Yesterday NEC deselected her and will impose a new candidate by tomorrow. I agree with the end result but not with how we got here.

Shocked etc.

Ex-Johnson aide behind banned Facebook ad worked on fake grassroots campaign

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... s-campaign
Alex Crowley, who left No 10 in September, oversaw the previous “Mainstream Network” Facebook campaign alongside employees of the lobbying firm run by Sir Lynton Crosby, the Australian political strategist who helped run the last four Conservative general election campaigns.

His new ad claimed that Labour’s tax plans would cost “an extra £214 each month” for everyone, and was posted under the name “Fair Tax Campaign”. But despite using clear political language, including the name of a political party, Facebook only became aware of the advert and removed it after being contacted by the BBC.

Swinson says she is certain she would be a better PM than either Johnson or Corbyn
Swinson's delusions now going beyond thinking she could get enough seats for that to how she'd perform in the job. She's lost the plot.

Also, she should reflect on how 'I thought I'd be good at it' worked out for Cameron.

The response by some to the BBC merely discussing "the don't politicise" thing as if they had said/advocated it ,is ridiculous. On the other hand the my non existent dog ate Fiona Bruce's homework excuse for a basic error in QT equally so.IMHO

Prediction. The government will be forced to release the ISC special report, that we all suspect will indicate intelligence concerns that the Tories may be corrupted by Russian oligarch cash. And they will drop a massive smear on Corbyn, to distract from it.
Sounds about right.

Trouble is for the Tories that they've used up all the vaguely credible smears (I hope).

Vince Cable said yesterday he was expecting at least 45 "and perhaps as many as 85" seats for the LibDems.

Now just the lower end of that is pretty optimistic in itself, but how would even the top of that range actually make Swinson PM?

I've just had an email inviting me to apply to stand. (A form email, I should say, obviously. I imagine somebody already knows exactly who the candidate is going to be. Especially because they and the agent are supposed to be at a meeting with the RO tomorrow afternoon)

Yes, for a man who seemingly takes great pride in displaying his learning and use of language, the things he comes out with can be remarkably crass and idiotic.

Anyone who has read the eye-witness reports of conditions in Grenfell Tower that night, the heat and smoke in the corridors and stairwells, would never come out with such a comment. He clearly didn't care enough to read the reports or give it more than a moment's thought.
