We made people unnecessarily vulnerable so we could say we lie about protecting a DWPtruthbot stated.

...those in authority in Britain have had an uneasy relationship with the forces of nature. Floods don’t just wash away furniture, carpets and cars. They erode authority too, and trust, as well as some of the certainties of ordered life. They are no respecters of reputations. Canute understood this. Johnson does not. He deserves to learn a hard lesson.

The floods have exposed Johnson – he is equal parts reckless, careless and useless

Evening all. Usual long day in the library...

Meanwhile, I'm shocked, shocked that Tom Harris, who has spent the last few years sniping at Labour incessantly from the pages of a right wing rag which is all he way up the PM's backside, has come out and said he's voting Tory!

It would have been more of surprise if he'd said he was voting Labour...

Apologies for the local election review again being delayed, but I have had computer problems this time.

It will appear, but maybe not until Friday - I will catch up in due course ;)
