Faisal Islam

@faisalislam

Told that the measures in the Labour manifesto are Remain compliant, indeed consistent with either result of a new referendum. There were some doubts expressed in civil service about 2017 manifesto compatibility with EEA & EU, esp mail renationalisation...

Looks like it's well thought-out (as you would hope). Recommend reading the rest of the Faisal Islam "tweets" on this (over at Politics Live).

Yes the other day - ours has been January ever since I moved into our first house 33 years ago...

Wonder how many people get caught by it?

Getting bleedin' fed up with the "hello, this is x from BT. I'm calling about your broadband..." as well.

They really wouldn't need to do this stuff if they were as confident about the election as they claim. That's my take on it anyway.

With this lot it's more like they don't actually know any other way.

"Shenanigans" seems to be their default setting. (A reference to South Park for those not in the know).

Israel’s attorney general has indicted Benjamin Netanyahu for bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

Avichai Mandelblit said on Thursday that the prime minister would be charged in all three major corruption cases for which he was investigated.

The dramatic announcement, the culmination of three years of inquiries, arrives at a fraught time for Israel’s longest-serving leader. Netanyahu is fighting for his political life after failing to secure a clear win in two elections this year.

Interview with Lynn Barber in its magazine, where he was reported as saying "there is no anti-Semitism in Labour".

Claim has now vanished from its social media presence, but the magazine that contained the (unamended) piece still went out today.
