If Dan 'The Invisible Mayor-man' Jarvis is the answer, we are definitely not asking the right question.

Why he was foisted on us as our (solitary) elected mayoral candidate is beyond me. I wasn't that keen on Richard Caborn but at least he had the advantage of having done something memorable, regenerating the old Orgreave site and the sports stuff.

So...presents all wrapped.
Both kids are no at home
Santa has dropped a bag of presents in for me to put on the tree (once my son has gone to bed)
I made some bread (manually as the machine broke a year ago)

...And I feel rubbish. Sore throat, cough, not really much of a cold but as I couldn't risk going swimming for fear of making matters worse, my back is now playing up. So tired...

On that cheery note, Happy Christmas one and all!

Just went out to pick up daughter’s knickers from her flat (don’t ask!) and got a puncture. Despite this and with thanks to the AA, we’ll have an excellent Christmas. Hope you all do too.

I've just begun watching "The Amazing Mr Blunden". It's a Lionel Jeffries directorial effort. Quite taken with it so far - costumes, snow, ghosts (to come) etc. Railway Children-ish. (Freeview Channel 81).

I really like it - i showed it to to a class of 11 year olds on Thursday who were expecting Shrek and they liked it too.
