“They’re allowed to kill our people,” Trump said, according to a pool report. “They’re allowed to torture and maim our people. They’re allowed to use roadside bombs and blow up our people. And we’re not allowed to touch their cultural site? It doesn’t work that way.”
No, they're not allowed to. They might have done it but they're not allowed to do it. The question is whether we, rather than they, are prepared to do what we're not allowed to do. It's like an old Smith and Jones Head to Head monologue...

"Going into people's housing, stealing their property. It shouldn't be allowed!"
"It's not allowed. It's against the law."

Grave political mistakes causing needless suffering continue. Lies told by powerful people continue. I'll go for walk and be back later.

General election weather, no less - the Tories knew what they were doing having one last month. So why were the SNP and LibDems so eager to help them?

Route to PR is a non-Tory collaborative coalition.
Deeply unimpressed by the 48 hours to register.
Feels more like control-freakery than people-representativeness.
Hence my current quietness. I don’t like to express disquiet as it disquiets others - but I am in fact (and have been for some time) disquieted.

Plus, whoops apocalypse?

Netanyahu calls Israel a ‘nuclear power’ before correcting himself in apparent slip of tongue
Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared to accidentally admit his country has nuclear capabilities with an apparent slip of the tongue on Sunday. While reading prepared remarks in Hebrew on a deal with Greece and Cyprus for a subsea gas pipeline, Mr Netanyahu said: “The significance of this project is that we are turning Israel into a nuclear power.”
