Usually I'd be in full agreement with you but tonight I'm celebrating. Besides last time I tried to drink 3 bottles of red wine I passed out and fell off a bar stool into a Christmas tree. Had tinsel all over me when I woke up the next day.refitman wrote:Would 3 bottles at 1/3 the price not be better?

In which case they were great, dandelion and burdock was my favourite. I'm pretty sure it wasn't made out of actual dandelions and thistles though. I've eaten dandelions loads of times, as a salad green they've got a really nice bitter flavour, not so good cooked though, I tried making a soup with them and nettles a couple of years ago and it was really horrible. Followed one of those guides on cooking urban weeds and yech. The best is broadleaf plantain, nice and peppery, and obviously wild garlic later in the year.PorFavor wrote:Yes.

There’s a reason why this government seems like every bad boss you’ve ever had and it’s that it has taken on, wholesale, the mix of bullying and hubris that has infected much of the corporate world. Dominic Cummings may seem like a novelty in the political realm, but he’s a version of just about every big-league MBA School graduate who has mistaken reading airport lounge books about Silicon Valley and quantum physics for wisdom.

Re: Friday 28th February 2020
Ok so what does the instant removal of months of hideous stress feel like?
First of all like you want to laugh and jump around dancing and being daft.
Then something feels wrong, because all of a sudden there's something missing, that thing in your life that you'd been focused on for so long is gone.
A peculiar abscence shall we say.
Then you enjoy the good wine and at least the beginnings of a feeling of relaxation that's been missing for so long.
Honestly this weird unfamiliar relaxed feeling is the first I've felt in months.
I know from experience it'll take a good couple of weeks before I settle down.
What the DWP put us through is torture.

Like Sky, every bubble's passed its fizzicle.
My two favourites like this (both quite possibly not true, although I'm not going to let that detract from them)
2. The fact that during one of those years, a guy called 'Al Nino' from New Jersey gets lots of phone calls from angry people finding his name in a phone book and telling him to leave the weather alone.
1. The republican congressman speaking against the provision of dual-language education in predominantly spanish speaking areas - "English was good enough for Jesus Christ and it's good enough for me."

I bought Dare with my christmas money in 1981 and I loved it so much I took it with me on a trip to Bath with a friend in the christmas holiday even though there was absolutely no chance at all that I'd be able to play it in the youth hostel there.
Edit - 1981, not 91.

I can assure you the fizzicle of my fizzickle is entirely healthy.adam wrote:Like Sky, every bubble's passed its fizzicle.
There was a disturbing lack of fizzicle for a while but less fizzickling seems to have sorted that out.

Whilst Trumpf is banging on about it again, can I just thoroughly recommend Parasite. A cliche, but the less you know about it before you see it, the better. I thought it was astonishingly good.
