Why am I being targeted by an ad for vent-free fume cupboards?

Nadhim Zahawi claimed (if I am correctly interpreting his usual verbal diarrhoea) that ventilators that have been ordered but not yet received count as ventilators that exist now and are available for use. So that explains the 8000/12000 discrepancy.

Which if true means this government are employing time travel in the fight against Coronavirus which is heartening.

And a couple more.

If all these gigs are called off I'd prefer the money went back to the artist and venue than a refund and I hope they give us the choice.

Serafina (or similar) as a one-off, yes, but I don't think I could take a whole evening of it.

Bambara are a blatant Birthday Party rip off.

I went see a band a few weeks ago called The Murder Capital and they were essentially a Joy Division tribute act and yet there were kids at the bar saying they'd never heard that sound before.

I mean I fully appreciate music is an ever evolving cauldron of old and new ideas but it seems the post punk sound has become trendy again and there's a lot more imitation than innovation going on.

Which of course makes me sound like a pretentious old wanker.

The aforementioned 'Birthday Party' from whence Nick Cave emerged.

The difference is I guess that in the early eighties post punk these bands didn't want to be cool, they wanted to be fucking horrible and challenging and creating noises nobody had ever heard before.

Whereas their current imitators are quite the opposite.

Bits of that lifted for use in Red Right Hand, I detect.

I wish someone else would sit up and post music.

Something different.

But in the meantime I'm going to get stoned and see what happens.

I admit I panic bought weed. The lockdowns across Europe have really screwed up the cannabis supply chain.

Ahh that's better.

Bands used to be hard in those days.

Not like when our parents were prancing about to this stuff.
