So just a reminder, with today's death figures we're still well within the margin of error for the IMHE projection, they've reduced it now to a mere 37,494 deaths but they're using the Dept of Health figures for deaths in hospitals. So that can be safely doubled. At least.

Christmas dinner (veggie) = nut roast, sprouts, roasted parsnips, roast potatoes (none of your goose fat) and bread sauce. Otherwise forget it.

I also find horseradish sauce a perfect accompaniment for almost anything.

I like the sound of sweet chilli sauce on a fried egg sandwich. I'm a bit doubtful about mayonnaise, though.
As for politics, it's all feeling a bit like a stuck record at the moment. Hancock being plucky but useless. Raab just being useless. Where's Priti Patel? Where's the PPE? Where's the testing? Why aren't we like Germany? (Clue - Angela Merkel, not useless).
Have I missed anything?

It is quite frankly insulting to imply frontline staff are wasting PPE.

There are horrific stories of NHS staff and care workers not having the equipment they need to keep them safe.

The Government must act to ensure supplies are delivered.

Turkey supplies UK with 250,000 items of PPE

Turkey has supplied the UK with 250,000 items of protective equipment, the Ministry of Defence has announced.

The shipment, which arrived at Oxfordshire’s Brize Norton RAF base on Friday, includes 50,000 N-95 face masks; 100,000 surgical masks; and 100,000 protective suits.

The supplies will be taken to a regional NHS distribution hub to be delivered to medical centres across the country, the MoD added.(Guardian)

They'll only be wasted. Or so Matt Hancock believes.

If she'd followed Raab and Hancock's lead we would have had yet another 'promise' of 'x' on way blah, blah, that never actually materializes, so I'm going to give her points for mixing it up a bit. Less stuck record, more 'disc not recognised'. Makes a change, at any rate. Hopeless, just a different kind of hopeless. Apparently she's been tucked away working 7 days a week at the home office, or at least 3 days a week when she realised that might be checkable.

The lack of testing in the UK is crazy. There's been no reasonable excuse for it.

Worse than Patel was Harry Cole from the Mail asking about getting the immigration bill through parliament. It was his first question. At least a thousand people are dying every day and his priority was kicking people out of the country, many of whom will work in the NHS, care homes, supermarkets. What a piece of shit.
