Still no confirmation of the "Tory Rapist" identity.

I've seen hints that he is the most notoriously incompetent one, but there's a lot of competition there !

BIG NEWS ON SALIVA TESTS Coming soon, near you !

( Hancock's latest joke .)

I posted this link three months ago, wherein UK Gov had turned down saliva tests bought by the USAF and others.

UK turned down offer of 10,000 tests a day four weeks ago (29/4)

Government declined ‘game-changing’ US-approved coronavirus saliva tests

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/ ... are_btn_tw

I checked to see if the company was still in business, that the tests appeared to have had no problems ....

Quote:
"" Curative’s oral fluid sample collection method is less invasive than other methods of COVID-19 testing, which require the insertion of a cotton swab far into the nasal passage. The test is also self-administered, meaning healthcare workers observe and guide patients through the sample collection process from a distance. This significantly decreases both the demand placed on frontline staff and the need for frequent changing of personal protective equipment. ""

I doubt anyone is surprised by this.

Tory-linked PR firm granted £3m Covid-19 contract without tender

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... tive-party

Quote:
The political communications company behind the Conservative party’s controversial 2019 digital campaign strategy received a £3m government contract to work on Covid-19 messaging without a competitive tender and is negotiating with the Cabinet Office for more work, the Guardian and openDemocracy can reveal.

Topham Guerin, founded in 2016 by two young New Zealanders, Sean Topham and Ben Guerin, specialises in producing images and videos for social media and has worked for a number of rightwing political parties.

It was behind two Tory election campaign stunts that attracted widespread criticism: renaming the official Conservative party Twitter account “factcheckUK” during the leaders’ debate, and setting up a website presented as Labour’s manifesto.

How were they not prosecuted for misrepresentation?

IDS in "Well yeah I know I voted for it but c'mon you can't expect me to have read it!" non-shocker.

To avoid their own budget black hole, the EU gets £39billion as a “divorce payment” from us, reflecting our share of the current EU budget. But it gets worse. Buried in the fine print, unnoticed by many, is the fact we remain hooked into the EU’s loan book. (2/3)

I would say that this is unbelievable but sadly it isn't is it?

Covid-19 has been detected on at least two cruise ships – one in the Arctic and one in the Pacific – just weeks after cruising holidays restarted.

At least 40 passengers and crew from the MS Roald Amundsen have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, and authorities are trying to contact trace hundreds of passengers from two recent Arctic voyages the ship took.

It think it would be wiser finding other things for people to do not involving confined spaces with unknown others.

Oh dear Liam...looks like you're not going to get the WTO job...

Russians hacked Liam Fox's personal email to get US-UK trade dossier

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... fox-emails

Quote:
A personal email account belonging to Liam Fox, the former trade minister, was repeatedly hacked into by Russians who stole classified documents relating to US-UK trade talks, the Guardian understands.

The security breaches last year, which are subject to an ongoing police investigation, pose serious questions for the Conservative MP who is currently the UK’s nominee to become director general of the World Trade Organization.

Whitehall sources indicated the documents were hacked from a personal account rather than a parliamentary or ministerial one, prompting Labour to ask why Fox was using unsecured personal emails for government business.

Well quite.

Ministerial email accounts are there for a reason...
