Conservative thinking on state aid has shifted a lot within the past few years. If @JGForsyth is to be believed UK desire to fund national tech champions could drive no deal - yet only few years ago @FraserNelson saw EU rules as bulwark against Ed Miliband

NEW: Early data shows 91-100% pupil and staff attendance in most schools

Ours is around the 90% mark and we know that some families are still abroad.

Quite where it leaves the right wing frothers banging on about the unions trying to stop schools opening though - I would imagine they'll just ignore this.

This is good.

ON MARXIST TORIES
you’ll oppose WFH if you believe that capitalists are so lacking in entrepreneurial nous that they cannot spot new business opportunities created by home-workers. Alternatively, you might believe they are constrained from exploiting these by financial constraints or by the inability of capital and labour to shift to new uses – even if those shifts are small......
If you believe this, they you must believe that capitalism has become stagnant and sclerotic - that capitalistic relations of production have become "fetters" on the development of our productive potential.

Mr citizen & I went out for our daily walk.
I've been catching up on news.
I'm listening or reading more than I'm talking or writing.
