Some more good election news yesterday, from Chile this time.

(also the NDP being returned with a big majority in British Columbia)

BBC News had a throw away news item this morning that seemed to suggest that the Welsh government had directed supermarkets not to sell sanitary products during the current lockdown. That they aired a social media mix-up without checking the facts seems par for the course if it makes Labour look bad. I bet they would have done more checking if it was the Tories involved.

It was actually a single Tesco store, and they have now clarified the situation.

Yes, I believe when someone queried it with Tesco on Facebook, they were given a stock response about non-essential items by mistake which escalated it a bit.

I can understand what the Welsh Government is trying to do, but implementation has come up a little short. It should all have been communicated better, both to sellers and customers.

Morning all.

Good to see Dan Hannan cementing his reputation as a total clown with his reponse to that letter sent by former justices to the Supreme and Appeal Courts, a former MR, and a former DPP.

"They're saying we're a bunch of Leftie lawyers."
"Outrageous! What can we do about it?"
"How about a letter to the Guardian?"
"Brilliant!"
And Tory shill Tom Harwood following up smartly with something about the new Law Society chief being on the left.

Goodness, lawyers can have political affiliations? Whatever next!

Interesting thread on how US_UK trade negotiations could go if Biden wins.

Yep, hard to disagree with that.

In an exchange on that Twitter about the mess the Tories are in on FSM we have a solution.

1. Abandon Universal Infant Free School Meals policy. Tell everyone that the LibDems bounced them into the policy.

2. Use the money saves to have FSM all year round for those who qualify.

Way too easy which is why Tories won't think of it.

This is unintentionally hilarious when you look at what's written on the wall.

Oh joy.

Yes, and on that subject I note that arch-Corbynite Stephen Kinnock was in a bit of bother over comments he made in the HoC.
