Starmer's made a speech to the CBI without mentioning the Brexit elephant in the room.

Businesses are not prepared for Brexit. How could they be?

An indication of how strange things are currently, that this appears unremarkable.

Independent Case Examiner for the Department for Work and Pensions: annual report 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020
Some of the complaints I see arise quite literally from a customer’s move to UC, including misadvice and misdirection clearly caused simply by DWP staff being unfamiliar with the provisions of UC and how it works. This has included customers being advised to claim UC to their detriment, when staying on tax credits would have been better for them, and other errors in transferring customers who have been on ESA to UC with the unintended loss of their work capability premiums.

Its the reports that Trump will declare "victory" hours after the polls have closed - almost irrespective of the actual results - that are the most concerning right now :?

I freelanced for a while some years ago which meant working from home a lot. This brought out an element of my character which thought it might be OK to nip out to the supermarket in a pair of slippers fashioned into the likeness of dogs (a gift from someone who found the notion of my wearing them hilarious). Covid is having a similar effect. I need to be careful what I go "out" in.

But last time.

The polling is generally good and overwhelmingly more than good enough, and generally moving Biden's way, but last time.

The court rulings have generally been in Biden's favour, but last time.
