It has to be said the BBC coverage has been absolutely bloody awful, Andrew Neil repeating the same lazy cliches and tropes over and over again as if they're insightful revelations. He's clearly clueless and what the hell is he even doing there after quiting the BBC to set up some poundshop UK Fox news? His co-host Katty Kay is doing her best to mitigate his smug obtuseness but she's swimming desperately against a tide of shit.

hmmm. it still at the moment looks like it could come down to wisconsin, michigan and pennsylvania. Ohio still looks very close and arizona hasn't started counting yet. North Carolina also still very close with what 538 say are bellwether counties still counting.

Trump is going to win North Carolina. The only areas left to be counted are majority Trump voting. NYT has it at 93% Trump win.

Fair enough. The positive point being made about Ohio is that it was a comfortable Trump win last time but looks like going to the wire this time, which should be good news for the other midwest states - the three crucial ones - where Trump won by less than 1%point last time. But not taking anything for granted.

Sorry Adam I didn't mean that as a response to your post, just reporting what I was seeing, biting off a bit more than I can chew here with about 15 tabs open.

Also although Christie has just been on saying 'we're going to win Ohio' a lot of the votes left to count are in Cleveland,Columbus and Cincinnati, which have all only counted about 30% and are all around 70/30 Biden. Trump currently 0.2points up with 30% of the state left to count.

The NBC coverage is so far proving better than both the BBC and Sky TV.

"Donald Trump can be President for life of Miami Dade County." That could have made me laugh under other circumstances. But I'm not really feeling much like laughing at present.

No I'm not exactly bursting with joy either, while it's far from over, Biden and the Democrats as a whole are performing nowhere near as well as the polls suggested.

I'm getting a disturbing sense of deja vu that's hard to ignore.

Looking at Senate seats that were supposed to be close with the Democrats having a chance of winning them they've been nowhere near. Some of them have lost by 10 points or more while the polls had them neck and neck.

If we've learning anything tonight it's that the American polling companies have evidently learned nothing in the last 4 years.

Goodnight folks, if Biden has taken Arizona as Fox are claiming it's all still to play for.

Despite Trump's current leads Wisconsin and Michigan are still being talked about at 538 as moving to Biden. With them and Arizona and Nebraska District 2,and with Trump winning Maine District 2,the Biden will reach 270 without Pennsylvania (or NC or Georgia for that matter).
