In the UK ministers continued to refuse to comment on the election, or Donald Trump’s claims that it was fraudulent.

The UK shadow justice minister, David Lammy, said: “Boris Johnson and Dominic Raab’s silence as Donald Trump attempts to undermine the American people’s right to free and fair elections is a national disgrace. This may be the funniest and most terrifying thing, I ever heard reported: White House aides are "scoping possible conduits" in Trump's family/inner circle, effectively to "stage an intervention", designed to bring the PoTUS round to the possibility he may have lost the election.

Bannon has now lost his lawyer in the fraud case after suggesting Dr Anthony Fauci, the government’s top infectious disease expert, and FBI Director Christopher Wray should be beheaded.
