I'm quite taken with that bit at the beginning of Winnie The Pooh when the author explains how the right kind of person, when they go to the zoo, doesn't just wander around but goes to the animal they love most and just stay there. I used to go to Chester Zoo a lot (enough to make it worth being a member) and I always loved going around everything (taking my two little ones that was the only way) but I also knew that I would be just as happy just sitting by the red pandas and watching them all day.tinyclanger2 wrote:Am liking Adam's new red panda look
For some reason it brings to mind a certain raccoon:

So what do we make of this assasination of the Iranian nuclear scientist?
The Democrats are claiming Trump sanctioned the Israelis to kill him in order to try to scupper Biden re-entering a nuclear agreement with Iran, which sounds about right, especially as we know Netanyahu flew to meet Mike Pompeo in Saudi Arabia last weekend.
So it appears not only is the repulsive orange slug refusing to accept defeat, he's poking a burning stick into a pile of high explosives without a care in the world about what the resulting detonation will do. As long as it damages his successor.

Apparently 37% of americans approve of Trump's handling of the post election period (Independent).
Unfathomable.

My brother's girlfriend works at Chester Zoo. So I've been backstage man, I've met the Lemurs, the Orangutans, the Chimps. I've seen a lot of masturbation, often interspecies, including felatio (Gibbon on Orangutan action). But sadly i never got to meet the Red Pandas as she only works with primates. And like you I love the cute little buggers.adam wrote:I used to go to Chester Zoo a lot (enough to make it worth being a member) and I always loved going around everything (taking my two little ones that was the only way) but I also knew that I would be just as happy just sitting by the red pandas and watching them all day.
It costs Chester zoo nearly half a million to feed and care for its animals per month, the government said it would provide a fund for zoos during Covid but the criteria they set are so absurd that as of now only 4 zoos in the country have received any government funds at all. Chester is surviving on donations and charity.
