Read the extracts from the Times leader under this tweet.
I assume he means 'wouldn't' in the last line.

Credit to the Times for laying out the case for removing big chunks of the meagre support available for the very poorest people in the midst of a deadly pandemic with the overt psychopathy of their class. Other papers would be as open about their vicious contempt for the public.

Excellent analysis as per usual from Stephen. One idea he raises here which I think is really worth pondering is that welfare cuts for 2020s Cons could become like immigration for 2000s/2010s Labour: an issue they can neither dismiss, tackle or find a way to avoid"

Good morning.
Busy morning out and about buying cat food...and then taking it back and exchanging when we discovered it was the wrong one.
Here's the 6 Tory MPs that voted with Labour on the UC vote.

You would think that engaging with councils and community leaders would be more effective and considerably cheaper, but this is the govt we have. The government has hired a PR firm to boost vaccine take-up among minority groups amid concerns that Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) and eastern European people are less likely to accept the jab

Oliver Kamm is one of the chief Times leader writers. Just saying.
"IS TONTY BLAIR BEHIND THIS???!!!!111???!!!"
Re: Tuesday 19th January 2021
He's Martin Bell's nephew! I didn't know that.
RW journalists in general are terrifying.
I think Hindle had a subscription to the Times, presumably for the crossword, so we got quotes occasionally. As the tweet says, useful to see what they're thinking set out so clearly.

The thing about Kamm however is that he was (maybe still is) a Labour member and had definite pretensions to being "on the left".
(and I was slightly acquainted with his brother on my postgrad course in Bristol three decades ago)

Pretensions being the operative word.
The Times equivalent of BBC 'balance'.
Like Marr, if he was impartial he wouldn't be in that job.

We moved past foreign policy elites peddling the same old failed ideas, on the left and the right. Not popular in the Swamp but it produced great results, like the #AbrahamAccords.
