Morning.
Is it strange or is it normal to go for days without thinking about the President of the United States.
Normal until you stop to think about it and then bewildering.

Even stranger when you do read something about the US President and it's good news. Can't remember when that last happened.gilsey wrote:Morning.

I'm a bit jealous, tbh. Our mad Brexit vote came before America's mad Trump vote, yet they're already coming out the other side and resuming some kind of normality, while our trauma is still only just beginning.

Also some muttering about Iran from across the pond as well, however. Here's hoping a Democratic POTUS isn't led astray by the perceived need to appear "tough" again.

Has everyone read this?
It would be nice to think Starmer has, even nicer to think he wouldn't need to because he could have written it himself.

Quite looking forward to seeing how the govt spin this.
the looming arrival of about 300,000 Hong Kong residents at the invitation of the UK government will – at the outset at least – be the first time in living memory that large-scale immigration receives positive overall coverage.

AOC very eloquent last night about the January 6th events, and how they affected her personally.

Sad to hear of the passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore.
If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.
