I'm not really a morning person but I found this lightened my mood:

Sorry AK - i think it's the Groundhog Day element.
I get up, work, watch the tv, have me tea, watch the tv, fail to get to sleep, get up ...

And then there's the fact that even though I'm not doing anything, time is going really fast
What's happening to it?

Well the PM has just told us that we might have "normality" again come the end of June. Let's see if that happens.

Good afternoon/evening.

Odd sort of day after the decent weather at the weekend. And I managed to start doing some analysis about an area which I'd already done last April and completely forgotten about.

Still...swimming and library in April. maybe.

In other news, 'Er indoors had a phone consultation and there's some more nastiness that they need to take care of by medication or chemo. And she'd only just gone back to work too...first full week this week. Sigh.

Does Eton teach a different meaning for "irreversible" by any chance?

I've never heard the word used quite so equivocally before. It's almost as of it's the wrong word deliberately chosen to give an erroneous impression, but what would I know. I just went to a bog standard comprehensive where we were taught the word "irreversible" literally means can't be reversed. Which applies to things like the breaking of eggs, but not so much to government policies, as far as I'm aware.

From me too.

Dealing with other medical conditions while Covid has been going on has definitely been the most challenging aspect. I hope the treatment goes smoothly.

Our son has been waiting for a non-urgent MRI since last March and is currently overdue for a consultant appointment and his 3-monthly blood tests. He's OK, but struggling with fatigue and not currently managing any school. It's very frustrating.

Thanks all.

Didn't help matters when my father-in-law phoned - he never phones - and spoke to 'Er indoors. When I said afterwards "Everything OK?" she said "yes, it's his birthday and he was told to phone me to thank us for the bird feeder we bought him!"

Phew - thought something had happened to my MIL for a moment...
