It is good, but it's been pointed out that there should be a ring round UK and Ireland for the Common Travel Area. We're not completely cut off. Yet.

Cricket ws due to finish at 4, with a Zoom talk at 4:30 (just started)...and I was wondering where my 1 hour walk was going to come...turns out I didn't have to worry. Amazing stuff.

The official "Covid level" has gone down from 5 to 4, what this will mean in practice I'm not entirely sure.

So, my chum Calvin Robinson tweeted that he'd been de-platformed by an education events organiser.

At the time I thought it was a bit dodgy since he'd given exactly the same talk a couple of years ago.

His tweet got picked up by the Spiked-related Academics For Free Speech twitter account as being de-platformed by a university.

As you can see I pointed out that nowhere did he say it was by a university, and it still didn't in the inevitable Telegraph column. Oh, and that he wasn't an academic.

And Calvin was remarkably coy about telling people who did it to me...so I'm putting it in the Didn't Happen category. Either that or they told him that they didn't want the talk that he already given all over again.
