Thank you for letting me know, AK. It spares me having to look at the Pickles's exhumation.

We went to the pub in the next village yesterday afternoon, for coffee not a drink.
There are 18 households in our village/hamlet and 4 of them were there at the same time.

BBC Question Time -
The ex-civil servant audience member (Elizabeth?) has just expressed the situation regarding lobbying brilliantly and eloquently.
(I should clarify that I'm bundling in together the lobbying issue with the top civil servants and second jobs.)

The right wing 'comedian' seemed to understand the danger to the Tories more than Bernard Jenkins. I was interested to hear him say that he thought once Covid was less of a concern then all those fat contracts to their mates could come back to haunt the government.

It was also good to hear people saying corruption out loud without using euphemisms.
Re: Thursday 15th April 2021
Possibly what will resonate most with the public over all the lobbying and the awarding of lucrative contracts to "mates" is, given Covid, the sheer bad taste of it all.

How refreshing, a reasonably sensible discussion on Covid without anyone saying anything stupid.

So from the lack of response to my above query, she's thankfully being quite sensible?
Just don't ask her about trans people.

Bernard Jenkin is still digging.
You wait all day for a Bernard then two turn up at once.

I'm quite excited, if what Jenkins is saying is true then we'll have x-ray specs in the immediate future.PorFavor wrote:Re NI - Bernard Jenkin is wittering on about the magic technology which still doesn't exist.

She was wearing knee length high heel kinky boots which put her on my good side but said little of consequence.AnatolyKasparov wrote:How obnoxious (or not) is Duffield being?

Sometimes there are benefits to being a hick .
Here in the big city I'll let others perform the beer garden experiment first and observe the results.
Although nobody I know has managed to have a drink at a pub yet because wandering the streets hoping to just turn up and get a table has failed miserably because they're all fully booked online.

You and me both.
I've had to deal with this shit personally (Canadian dick pics) and it's just so frustrating because it seems to me it's a war between two sides who should be able to come to a reasonable compromise.

This song always sounds so chirpy, but it isn't. Rather like another one which shall remain nameless.
