Yeah, the old style is apparently a little broken - the breadcrumbs don't work for one thing - so I've swapped to the default for now. (still hasn't fixed the bloody avatars )
Seems to have fixed quotes though

Hmm, Is the anonymous donor admitting some kind of similarity between producing conservative leaflets & wipings of babies bottoms?

it gets worse, donors having to pay for his tittle-tattle as well.Following reports that Johnson sought payments from a donor to help pay for his one-year-old son’s care, Raab told Sky’s Sophy Ridge on Sunday: “I have no idea, you don’t have conversations like that with the PM. I can’t comment on every little bit of gossip that’s in the newspapers. The last thing you asked me about, I think, is an example of tittle-tattle.”

An interesting approach ..The Electoral Commission this week launched an investigation into whether any donations or loans to pay for the refurbishment of his residence in No 11 were properly declared.

Well that was an interesting drive along the M62 in relentless pissing rain nearly getting blown off the road.
Also, what the?
I like all the question marks. It reminds me of the start of Hong Kong Phooey.

Good evening.
Dorries really is a complete moron.
As someone pointed out, that's twice as many jobs as there are residents of Harlepool (sic).
In other news, 'er indoors went for a drive through* Covid test this morning, three days before her first radiotherapy. Given that she has been jabbed twice, it'll not come as good news for either of us if she test positive!
* driven by me that is.

You'd be amazed.AnatolyKasparov wrote: ↑Mon 03 May, 2021 3:40 pm So, anybody about today? You can't possibly all be out and about in this weather......
Driving round Cheshire today we kept seeing pub beer gardens packed with people in the cold and the pouring rain.
You can just imagine them sitting there, numb fingers grimly grasping their pints as they shiver and desperately say to themselves, ''This is fun! I'm really enjoying myself!', through gritted teeth.
It's lovely and sunny in Leeds now.

I saw one of her books in a charity shop yesterday and almost bought it to see how bad it was, but 50p seemed a bit steep.
It looked like it was about nurses, they were all happy and smiling on the cover, presumably delighted at the real term pay cuts Nadine and her party have forced on them over the last 10 years.

Not just German teams, there were no French teams involved either, he was talking sheer, unmitigated bollocks.
And now the he and his government are in a position where, for populist reasons, they find themselves 'sympathising' with football fans taking direct action while curtailing everyone else's right to protest.
If those Man Utd supporters yesterday had been climate activists (to pick one example) they'd have had a beating and been carted away in police vans.

I mean I support Manchester United and settled down yesterday to enjoy a game against our greatest rivals and was left bereft of entertainment because a bunch of hooligans stopped the lawful proceeding of a football match. As a member of the silent majority and supporter of strict law and order imagine my disgust today when I saw not only a Conservative government, but the right wing press aligning their sympathies with rioting thugs in casual sportswear. It's an absolute disgrace and I'll be making my views known to Mr Chumley chair of our local party once the Golf club bar opens after all this Covid nonsense.

Re: May Bank holiday weekend, Sat 1st - Mon 3rd 2021
"What do we have this week?"
"A new manuscript from Nadine Dorries."
"Oh jesus, what's it about this time?"
"As far as I can make out it's about nurses riding unicorns, there's a red unicorn and a white unicorn and a blue unicorn and when they all come together they can morph into a single super unicorn called 'Brexitannia triumphant'.
"What's the point of that?"
"Well it can enter other dimensions where Brexit never happened and alter the past so they leave the EU."
"I see, so what's the point of the nurses?"
"Without the Nurses' selfless psychic auras calming them the unicorns are ravenous carnivores, at the start the nurse riding the red one falls off and it goes on a gruesome feeding frenzy in a primary school in Macclesfield."
"It eats children?"
"Brutally tears them limb from limb before devouring them. They're screaming and everything, can't believe a unicorn is chewing on their face after all the cute rainbow shit they've seen about them on the internet."
"Nadine is one sick fuck."
"That she is, it's pretty disturbing stuff. Do you think it'll get published?"
"Hell yeah, it's the best thing she's ever written."

I'm thinking of it as an episode of 'Changing rooms' where Refitman is a digital Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
Who knows what we'll get tomorrow?
Perhaps the place will be festooned with sea shells all made from MDF pixels.
I don't mind as long as I get to meet Carol Smillie. Though she must be pushing 60 by now.
