Did anyone see PMQs? Were the exchanges really that confused or is Sparrow struggling to write them up because of the heat?
I also recently read a thread on social media discussing whether Boris is addicted to prescription drugs, which could be another explanation for the lack of sense, I suppose.
Either way, definitely a whiff of end-of-term-itis in the air. A "summer of chaos" awaits. Among top Google searches I expect we'll see "what do I do if I test positive on holiday" and "what is a close contact".

There's now a minor side industry in predicting the number of times Johnson will mention vaccines at PMQs.

Someone alert to the latest data could ask him why the daily number of first jabs is lower than the number of new cases of the virus.

Downloading it as I type, though my broadband is a bit screwed up so it might take a while.

I'm not sure how much more of this I can take, while repotting some squashes I was sweating so much my glasses kept sliding off my head and the factor 50 I'd applied ran straight into my eyes, I ended up stumbling around half blind. I like to sit next to my washing up bowl pond, but now it has a steady stream of dehydrated wasps coming in to drink, and after a couple of minutes of having them flying around and landing on me my nerve goes and I flee. The bees, for whom I've provided a great deal of nectar and pollen, don't come to my aid at all, ungrateful little bastards.

Unfortunately I did. At one point Johnson kept repeating 'jabs' and 'jobs' as if he had some peculiar form of Tourette's but I wouldn't say it was any more confused than usual. What was confusing however, was why Starmer didn't go for Johnson's jugular about his 'catch Covid, live longer' messages to Cummings. Blackford did and had him burbling and mumbling and looking decidely uncomfortable because he couldn't deny it.

It is forecast that this hot spell is finally coming to an end at the weekend, FWIW.

Like you I won't be too displeased with that all told.

If anyone wants to read an angry epidemiologist being sarcastic here's your chance. I strongly recommend reading the whole thread.
