Good morning.
I found this from Feb 2020.
I have to admit that I hadn't appreciated that the talks hadn't involved the Afghan government which is...odd to say the least.
Afghan conflict: US and Taliban sign deal to end 18-year war

And Ben Wallace now claiming that he thought it was a bad deal at the time.

Ah...UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace: "I welcome this small but important step towards the chance for Afghans to live in peace, free from terrorism... We remain absolutely committed to building an Afghanistan that is a strong partner for decades to come"

Directly due to the government's disastrous handling of Brexit. It didn't have to be like this. There were other, less disruptive, Brexit options available.GPs and hospitals to limit blood tests in England due to bottle shortage
This isn't an inevitable price of Brexit, it's incompetent governance and Labour need to start getting this point across. The shortage has arisen because Becton Dickinson, the NHS’s main supplier of blood collection tubes, has not been able to keep up with demand for its products.
A company spokesperson also cited other reasons. “In addition to increased demand, we are seeing continued transportation challenges that have affected all industries, including port and transport capacity, air freight capacity and UK border challenges. Suppliers are also challenged to meet increased demand for raw materials and components,” they said.

Labour gained a Tory seat in yesterday's byelections, the first time this has happened for 18 months.

Before we moved here we rented a place across the road from the manor for a year, we met a couple who were building a new house on the site of an old bungalow just down the road, they wanted to build a utility room outside the original footprint of the building. It took them about 15 years to get permission for it. But this development poses no harm to the character of the countryside? Pull the other one. You can see the back of his place from the public road between the A19 and Northallerton and that's where the new building's going.Officers told the committee the usual policy was to only support development in Kirby Sigston in exceptional cases.
However, they said developments in residential properties were common where they posed no harm to the character of the countryside.
