Dear god, that's the whole baby boomer generation down the pan. I keep hearing that British people are so cosmopolitan and sophisticated, and yet, when you look at the above link, you see that your average over 60 is a Mrs. Brown's Boys or Top Gear fan, reads the Mail and has steak and kidney pie as their favourite dish (not to mention bloody Phil Collins and Cliff fucking Richard as their preferred music) then you begin to realise that euthenasia isn't actually such a bad idea after all, and the sooner it can be made involuntary on the family's demand then the happier we all might be.
NB - for the avoidance of doubt I have two UKIP supporters in my family and one Tory. And I think they're all twats.

Speaking as an original (1946) baby-boomer may I say that I don't own a Jag but shop at Lidl (?) Quite like the classic war movies though. (Saw 'The imitation Game' yesterday - brilliant). As for the Daily Mail - it's you whipper-snappers on here that keep making me follow links to it.

Tora! all day, as well as Come and See (rather more graphic), plus a slew of other war films - Jacob's Ladder's a beaut if you get the chance, it's so scary - but I'm fucked if I'll ever join the pinheads over at UKIP. Fuck it, with the mainstream meeja in the UK being as bad it is, let's set them a good example and show those dozy pricks how it's done.

A Welsh Tory MP has dismissed criticism he ignored calls to campaign in a Kent by-election, but visited the area to play golf, as "a silly story".
The Sunday Times has said Montgomeryshire's Glyn Davies, 70, was just seven miles (11 km) from Rochester when he played on a nearby course.
But he told BBC Wales he cannot canvass because he has a bad back and cannot walk far.
Mr Davies said he could play golf because he used a buggy.
Conservative Chief Whip Michael Gove is understood to have had ordered MPs to visit the area three times before Thursday's by-election against Mark Reckless, the Tory MP who defected to UKIP.
But Mr Davies admitted he had not visited the area once, but did go to the nearby Tudor Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club with his wife for bed and breakfast and a round of golf.
He must be one of the 100 MPs who have apparently refused to go to Rochester and canvas - as ordered by Dave. But, of course, that wider context is missing from this story and the BBC Wales news item I watched earlier.
Editing to add: Oh, and another triumph of Gove's whipping .... by whatever, he's proving his real worth in this job, isn't he.
But perhaps, now, we can pray in aid his evidence of why being able to play the occasional round of golf by way of using a golf-buggy (an overgrown mobility scooter) does not constitute the ability to walk up to 20 metres (or even 50 metres) and, therefore, taking part in this sort of gentle physical activity should not be used to disqualify any person from receipt of Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Incapacity Benefit, and/or Employment Support Allowance...

Thanks for that, @HindleA! It says, in that piece, that the figures were commissioned from the independent House of Commons Library. Is that library always open to opposition parties or does this mean that Labour now have access to Government accounts, etc.,? I know that, in the run-up to a General Election, information which was previously only available to the governing party (or parties) is opened up to all MPs; but I don't know at which point that actually happens.
