Isn't the simple answer to that "just about everything"?

The War on Woke is against anyone revising history because they expose the myth held about the past and of course also the present delusions , which are actually the real concern ( itsabout Power) ...

Dear Father Refitman,
I've been a really good Clanger for Quite Some Time

Finally...

Sarah Everard: Commissioner Philip Allott resigns

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-y ... e-58915325
North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Philip Allott had faced sustained criticism for urging women to be "streetwise" in a radio interview.

The backlash culminated in the unanimous vote passed by the county's Police, Fire and Crime panel.

In response Mr Allott said he would "do the decent thing" and leave his post.
No, the decent thing would have been to resign at the time.

I haven't followed that thing very closely , rather like SKY here not being uptodate on the very latest TransPolitics . ( Aghaaaa! )

There seems to be a modern fanaticism for murdering the slightest hint of nuance in absolutely every newly-delicate sphere of sexual or woteva politics .

I'm guessing , but re-phrasing slightly what Mr Allott said , would he still be in post ?

Not in this case, no.

I've said before, he's representative of the v v poor quality candidates the tories have put forward for these jobs.

One of the local councillors pointed out how ridiculous it is that there's apparently no way to get rid of a PCC if they're useless. Brings to mind Benn's famous saying.
“What power have you got? Where did you get it from? In whose interests do you exercise it? To whom are you accountable? And how can we get rid of you”
(I live in this area.)

We will, of course, vote for another tory.

You didn't answer my point on the exact wording ?

He said exactly the wrong thing at pretty much the worst possible time. I frankly don't see how it could have ended any other way.

I've seen the exact wording a number of times and imo it's incapable of any alternative interpretation. Nuanced it's not.

Meanwhile Restore Trust can't be trusted...

National Trust election candidate ‘not consulted’ about ‘anti-woke’ backing

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/202 ... ke-backing
Michael Goodhart, 67, told the Guardian he was shocked to see his name topping a list of six candidates backed by Restore Trust because he did not support its aims ahead of what is tipped to be a turbulent National Trust AGM.

“It just shows what a shallow organisation they are that they are putting forward recommendations of this nature without contacting those involved,” he said.
