According to the G live blog Boris Johnson won't be able to make the sleaze debate because he's on a slow train from the NE. I particularly liked this bit:
When journalists pointed out that last week Johnson took a private jet so that he could return from the Cop26 conference in Glasgow for a private reunion dinner with former Daily Telegraph leader writes, the spokesman claimed that that was different and that last week other factors applied.
I'm not sure the spokesman entirely has Boris' back with that line. Yes, I'm sure "other factors applied", like a slap up meal and free booze perhaps? :D

Well, this is fun..."the world's greatest head teacher" said this morning that she wished that Ofsted didn't exist...but that she didn't want it abolished. No, I don't get it either. So I found a debate that her school had where she quite clearly tweeted that "I think Ofsted should be abolished".

And now look...having a right old go at Sam Freedman who, on twitter, is one of the mildest and least argumentative people you can find...and all he's done is quote her words to her.

Oops.

Tory MP faces bankruptcy over unpaid taxes and may have to step down

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... am-afriyie
In a fresh blow for Boris Johnson’s embattled party, court records show a petition for bankruptcy has been filed by HMRC against Adam Afriyie, who has represented Windsor since 2005. Afriyie is described as a “litigant in person”, suggesting he intends to represent himself.

Under parliamentary rules, sitting MPs who are declared bankrupt have to step aside. That would create turmoil for the prime minister, whose party is already facing three byelections.
