Great thread.

from the G business blog.Guy Harrington, CEO of Glenhawk (which provides bridging financing) says it’s ‘absolute madness’ to think house prices will keep rising in the current climate.
He warns:
“Another month of slowing growth is just a precursor to the sharp correction about to torpedo the UK housing market, caused by a perfect storm of record inflation, geo-political turmoil, rising rates and a once-in-a-generation cost of living crisis.
It’s absolute madness to think house prices will keep on rising. As caution grips the market, the outlook for 2023 looks increasingly ominous.”

Of course, in one way a "correction" of house prices is exactly what is needed.

It's definitely needed by those who are trying to buy or rent in a market that has lost all touch with incomes but the house price crash was a large part of what got the Tories voted out in '97, which is why recent Tory governments have put a lot in place to keep house prices artificially high. They will almost certainly continue to try to prop them up as much as they can but can they keep propping them up indefinitely? This is a question I've been asking since around 2012. Will I finally get my answer?AnatolyKasparov wrote: ↑Thu 30 Jun, 2022 11:28 am Of course, in one way a "correction" of house prices is exactly what is needed.

Answers as to why Cassidy didn't spill the beans earlier, towards the end .High class journalism and a panel including a prosecutor who had specialised in Mafia cases , which seems just right for anything to do with Trump !
And one on why some things in her testimony were accurate reporting on her part.... but came from a habitual liar .
