Morning RFM

Fist bumps, Putin and going topless: What we did – and didn’t – learn from the G7
World leaders are more often than not blessed with phenomenal people skills, and Boris Johnson being his usual tedious, bumbling self appeared not to bother them any more than normal
https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/g7 ... ments-area

From a comment yesterday --
What was interesting was the NATO conference in Madrid next day, when EuroNews and 24 Horas (French and Spanish TV News respectively) showed the Queen of Spain withdrawing her hand pronto when it was shaken by Johnson, and Johnson left disconsolately on his own pre dinner admiring "Las Meninas" in the Prado, as no-one seemed to want to talk to him. Clearly the NATO leaders do care about substance.

The clowning that works in his cabinet of nonentities, ex "How many new hospitals are we building?" Chorus of "Forty!' , doesn't work with other heads of government, revealing his fundamental silliness .
He gave Putin some pleasure too ...

At the rate Johnson's going, Zelensky will be the only person left who isn't utterly revolted by him.
And that's only because he's too busy to think about it.

V. long thread.

Well if its the case I am thinking of, I don't think that was the *only* reason.

Which doesn't excuse how party HQ is behaving over these selections by any means, the fallout from Stroud is not pretty.

(and their "anointed one" didn't get picked in any case)
