You are perhaps expecting me to say “good morning”, but I have to tell you that – while I am aware that it has been suggested that the morning is good – it would not be appropriate for me to give a view on its goodness or otherwise at this point. As you would expect, I’m not going to get into what kind of private conversations were or were not held about the nature of the morning.

The above is obviously all meaningless, and bears the same resemblance to ordinary human communication as the Jurassic Park franchise does to Birdworld. But it is also a fairly faithful representation of the kind of language coming from the Downing Street comms team in the last few days....

We're long past the stage when absolutely everyone should automatically disbelieve Johnson, but we still have to go through this rigmarole.
The people around him seem to have no self-respect.

As someone pointed out on Twitter, the press keep using the phrases "groping" or inappropriate touching", when they sold be calling it 'sexual assault'.

Checked on the Liveblog, B-J Johnson did invite the film crew in .

I suppose if you ARE going to brazen it out better to go all the way

dragging the Glums behind you 🙂

NOW wondering what she said !

Quite a verbal hand grenade Diane Abbott chucked into a BBC interview yesterday, a real test for Johnson. If it was anyone else they’d be reaching for the number of the best lawyers to contest such allegations. Nice tactic by Diane.""

Canary:
"Diane Abbott receives abuse for referring to rumours of the PM ‘assaulting women’"
On Sunday 3 July, Diane Abbott told a BBC radio programme that Boris Johnson is:

rumoured to be one who likes assaulting women.

Corporate media, of course, didn’t like this at all. The London Economic called the claim “extraordinary“, and the Daily Express called it a “horrific attack..” Is it though? Let’s take a look at Johnson’s documented treatment of women to see what we can find.

Takes us back to what rfm said above
the press keep using the phrases "groping" or inappropriate touching", when they should be calling it 'sexual assault'.

Though of course Abbott receives lots of abuse for simply existing.

Examining why would, if nothing else, be a fascinating insight into the psyche of a certain type of person.

There's enough well chosen weirdos and sycophants in the cabinet to keep him in place for a little while longer but yeah, he's doomed. I just hope he drags it all out for as long as humanly possible because I want to savour every last bit of his comeuppance.

Indeed, precisely my take.

I hope the Tories ultimately pay a high price for picking a known and confirmed narcissistic sociopath as PM for their "vote winning" qualities.

I note that the latest Private Eye has a rather crude and obvious hatchet job on Begum.
