From me yesterday:
Why anyone would want to work in the Home office at the moment is beyond me.
Today.

If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

Doesn't seem to have occurred to the govt that the BBC having a word with Lineker makes them look even more like Germany in the 30s.

Have included his tweet in the unlikely event that anyone in the world hasn't seen it.

Apparently they were fighting like rats in a sack last night, did anyone watch it?

Hello all. Not sure how much time has passed, but life got a little distracting for a while there.
Glad to see you still here. Not quite sure what to say about Labour though. It's almost as if they think that it's worth becoming Tories to get into power.

I watched most of it and it was a decent entertaining debate. A bit of healthy political rough and tumble that was a far cry from the insane freak shows the Tories indulged in. Kate Forbes maybe went a bit far in some of her criticisms of Humza Yousaf but that was about it. It certainly wasn't the vicious bloodbath the English press are trying to portray it as.

Yousaf won it by a mile in my humble estimation.

Good to see you TC. I'm afraid to tell you it's been over 1000 years and we're all AI chatbot copies of posters who died long ago.

This forum is now a discussion of ancient politics, an archaic system which was rendered obsolete when the cats took over.

Nah, it's cool. The world has been entirely at peace ever since the cats revealed to humans the euphoric bliss of having a poo in the garden.

Forbes would be a disaster for the SNP, that is surely obvious now. But she could still win.

She could, but it seems unlikely. She didn't do herself any favours with SNP members last night by the looks of things.

Whoever wins will be a big step down from Sturgeon, that surely can't be disputed.

Sigh

Sex education review is ‘politically motivated’, say teaching unions

https://www.theguardian.com/education/2 ... ing-unions
James Bowen, director of policy for the National Association of Head Teachers, said: “It is hard to be anything other than deeply concerned by this announcement.

“The overwhelming majority of schools are doing nothing more than following the government’s own statutory guidance when it comes to relationships and sex education. It is worth remembering that the current curriculum was subject to extensive consultation before it was introduced.

“We have seen no evidence to suggest there is a widespread problem with pupils being presented with age-inappropriate materials, and if this were the situation, we would expect it to have been picked up on a case-by-case basis.

“There is a real concern that this is a politically motivated review, rather than one based on the reality of what is happening in the vast majority of schools up and down the country.
Cates is a menace. Runs something which looks very much like a think-tank with another Tory MP and has a Director who is also a Director of something called Conservative Christian Fellowship.

And where is that based?

Conservative Party Central Office.
