Another one who has gone off the deep end is Dr John Campbell who was great for the first year or so of the pandemic .

Looked the other day and he was apologising for having recommended masks .

Having made Linekar 'step back' Ian Wright and Alan Shearer have said they won't do it.

And today surely demonstrates that only one thing currently matters - we have to get this lot out the next time we have the opportunity.

Moaning about their successors can wait until that has been achieved.

And the reason they've been so terrible over the Linekar situation, is that through all the boats and immigrants situation, Labour's position has been 'the Tories intention - to keep immigrants out of the UK - is the correct one to have. It's just that they're bad at implementing it. Vote for us, and we'll keep the terrified, desperate people out of the country in a much more efficient manner'. To agree with Gary (and other campaigners) it to perform a u-turn on their current policy.

I think that is a bit disingenuous from Bastani tbh, I've little time for Cooper especially but 24 hours ago few thought this would actually *happen*.

And its another "dog caught the car" moment as far as the Tories are concerned - the point of culture wars isn't actually to get what you supposedly "want".
