Morning all.

Good morning.

The pension LTA is another example, plenty of people out there with answers to the NHS consultants problem without rewarding city fat cats as well.
Energy support another example, just give money to everyone because it's easier, they've had a year now to come up with something more targeted but they can't be bothered. It's only 'taxpayers money' after all.

Wondering if this will actually happen, it seems totally impractical. They don't do complexity at all. Here's a sweeping, easy to implement 'solution', we'll do that.So they're scrapping the Work Capability Assessment which was designed to determine if someone is fit for work and are going to solely rely on the Personal Independence Payment assessment which is designed to determine if someone has extra living costs due to their illness or disability. What this effectively means is that hundreds of thousands of people will no longer be classed as sick or disabled by the benefits system and will be treated as ordinary claimants. For example people with mental health problems but no physical disability requiring extra care will en masse become fit for work and subject to the increased sanctions regime Hunt has just announced while losing thousands of pounds a year in benefits.

This much trumpeted childcare boost isn't actually happening for a few years, either.
Apart from anything else that gives the opposition a better chance to put their own improved version to the electorate come the GE.

Ah, this might be why Naz Shah was bigging up the party's new Islamophobia Complaints Handbook in Labour List.
