In France's "Evidemment" - brought to us by "La Zarra" through the medium of Jessica Rabbit - the biggest surprise was that "evidemment" is spelt with two "m's". All these years I've been using it to demonstrate my mastery of the French language, without realising that I was mentally misspelling it. Having said that, my spelling generally has become more than a little random over the years, largely as a consequence of my becoming increasingly less arsed about spelling as a thing. I also comfort myself with Mark Twain's observation that he had “no respect for a man who can spell a word only one way.”

Suffice it to say that I stopped watching "Evidemment" half-way through as my attention span just wasn't up to it. It was like Edith Piaf without Edith Piaf (or Grace Jones), or a perfume advert without the required level of derangement. It would also have been better if they'd fought the compulsion to provide us with subtitles: "In my hell garden the plants are watered with dreams and tears".

Lordy.

Clanger rating:
Was it fun: full marks for sequins
Was it dancey/dancy: it shifted in and out of occasional bland-pop
What would Terry have said about it? He may have had to have been woken from a brief nap by the time it ended, and thus been unable to comment

Tories fear blue wall will crumble at local elections over NHS crisis

So they should.
“I am not sure that public sympathy will continue as a reasonable package for nurses was rejected,” said one former cabinet minister.
This member of the public doesn't think it's reasonable, I'd guess I'm far from alone.

Apparently Streeting was as useless as you'd expect with Kuennsberg.

Though of course LK did her usual thing of aggressively interrogating an opposition politician as if they were actually the government.

Sky has been out drinking a lot of red wine with a friend and was briefly unsure of his whereabouts. He had to get his phone out and check a map because he decided to take a 'shortcut' after going for a pee in an alleyway and ended up completely lost less than a couple of miles from his own home. This had to be done because unlike you country bumpkins walking down the wrong street round here can result in an untimely demise.

I understand a restaurant having to pay their staff and all the bills while still making a profit but we paid £25 for a bottle of Chilean Carmenere that I recognised as the same wine I'd previously bought from Tesco for £6 with a clubcard discount.

Which is a shame because in the second half she fell into a rage and consumed radioactive garlic which transformed her into a 50 ft woman, or in French a 15.24 metre femme.

Angered by this, or perhaps just enjoying herself, she ripped up the Eiffel Tower and used it as a weapon to attack the Champs-Elysees before confronting the Arc de Triomphe which turned out to be where a giant Venusian space dinosaur was hibernating. The consequent battle laid waste to much of Paris and killed many thousands of people and under the auspices of the UN she is now held in captivity in Wales.

I think we all agree, well besides Ak bless him, that voting for Labour would be like eating the most bland meal you've ever eaten with a nasty aftertaste like they've burnt the garlic.
