Not a surprise. They have no idea how to make the books balance if they do it and they won't ask McDonnell, will they.

One of the deep problems with the "Labour Right" is an addiction to stupid accounting tricks. They like to cosplay as responsible politicians, but are simply unserious amateurs. (cf also Streeting's NHS reform rhetoric.)
See also Brown and his 10% starter tax rate.
Of course it applies to almost all politicians, not just Labour.

Poland's Blanka stars in a 2 minute moving selfie while she sings the song "Solo" (or does Solo sing "Blanka"? who knows.)

The scene set in the cake shop perked my interest briefly, triggering a quick "we want cake and the finest wines known to humanity", but to be honest what came mostly to mind was how much more entertaining this would have been if Celeste Barber had starred:

Clanger rating
Was it fun: it was b*****s
Was it dancey: nope
What would Terry have said about it: perhaps he would also have noticed the cakes - though I don't know how much of a cake man he was.

"Stupid accounting tricks" actually explain why student financing is in such a dire state to begin with.

The whole point of the current system is that students don't pay their loans off, thereby creating an income stream which can be packaged up and sold on to make any number of capitalists an easy buck. Bonus feature that the offspring of said capitalists don't have to pay because parents are rich enough to pay upfront.

The 'interest rate' being related to RPI is totally bonkers and there should have been a much bigger outcry when it was brought in. What's wrong with the interest rate being related to, er, market interest rates? It wouldn't be because interest rates were so low at the time?

The effective marginal tax rates for middle income earners are outrageous.

It's not so much the 'who her father is', it's the "we shouldn't change this, oh but I don't care anyway" part.
