The Report has been shared with closest family in Havant Alençon and even sunnier Puerto Rico .

Thanks again to Sky, and to Munira Wilson !

As ever, I am grateful for Sky watching QT so that I don't have to.

“And another thing.”, said Nadine as she raised the bottle again to her lips. “Donald Trump was John the Baptist to Boris Johnson’s Jesus Christ. Hic.”

I mean, a few left wingers can get elected on personal votes (especially when the Labour opponent doesn't come from the area, as here)

We saw that earlier this month in Liverpool and Portsmouth.

If you imagine that these isolated, untypical results "prove" that everybody loves the hard left and hates Starmer - then you are only deluding ypurselves.

No, it's Labour unnecessarily losing seats they could hold, by being dogmatic in their drive to remove all but the most milquetoast centre-left candidates. These are people that want to stand for Labour, but are being driven out of the party.

But we are talking about a literal handful of seats amongst *thousands*. And yes, maybe at least some of them were hard done by - it happens.

In this case, I suspect the winner (who left the party and wasn't thrown out btw) got some credit for resigning and standing again under their new colours.

Interesting that a TV presenter resigns and is subsequently vilified for lying (about a legal but unwise affair) while politicians, as a matter of course, are tolerated when lying about breaking the law
