A reminder that Richard Littlejohn lives in a gated community in Florida and has barely even visited this country for years now.

He actually makes Starmer look at ease with these situations in comparison, pretty remarkable really.

Make the message clear, easy to understand and easy to pass on...

I do love it when we get the 'Markets' involved. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and totally hopeful for the future.

Tbf there are senior Labour people who can do that - I don't think many have ever claimed Reeves is one of them, however.

Well, Labour certainly seem to be getting the Stagger's juices flowing

Re: Bank Holiday Weekend 27th, 28th & 29th May
I have a confession to make. While walking back from the pub I noticed a bloke in the middle of the street filming work that was being done to his (posh) house on his phone. There was scaffolding up and I presume he was making some kind of record of what had been done. As I approached I noticed he was backing rapidly towards the kerb on the other side of the road and seemed completely oblivious to his imminent peril. Normally I would have offered him a warning but after a few beers the slightly drunk mischievous part of me overrode my common decency and decided it would be funny to watch this guy fall on his arse. Which he promptly did, but not onto his arse, he landed on his back and right elbow and let out a howl of pain. I guiltily rushed to help him and after a short while got him sitting up. He reckoned his back was just bruised but he'd taken all the skin off his elbow and couldn't straighten his arm because something in his elbow was clicking and causing him searing pain. Obviously I asked him how it happened as if I were a completely innocent good Samaritan and he thanked me as I helped him back into his (massive) drive while telling him he should get some frozen peas on it then go to A&E. After which I skulked off feeling ever so slightly remorseful.
Would I have done the same if he hadn't been wearing a tweed waistcoat in front of his massive house with what turned out to be a Bentley in his football pitched size drive/garden? Probably not. We're all snobs in our different ways.

Just goes to show though how weird Leeds is, that guy lives about a mile from me at most, the houses on that street are worth a fortune, more than a million according to Zoopla, and yet within 5 minutes walk are scumbags like me and all sorts of drug gang stabbings and shootings. Other than Alwoodley (where the footballers live in their gated mansions) Leeds doesn't really have any exclusively posh areas until you get to the surrounding villages. Plenty of exclusively shitty areas though. Not least the city centre.
According to national crime figures Leeds city centre has the highest crime rate outside London which sadly doesn't surprise me at all. My friend works security at Leeds Gallery and just this last week had to deal with a guy trying to steal a plexiglass charity collection box which was bolted to the floor (it did not go well for the thief) and two young lads who came in and stole peoples' bags from the cafe. And this is the gallery, imagine what it's like at the museum?

Leeds is good in other ways though, I mean you can go to a craft beer bar and pay £6.00 a pint then sit outside listening to some horrifically entitled young woman at the next table complain about her grandparents still being alive and how she deserves their house.

Widely assumed not to be his shoes, look at the size of them.

That is quite left wing compared to some of the stuff Cowley deems suitable for publication.

Waters has a fair few "issues" tbh - and has for a long time. I presume you are aware of the pro-Russia stuff he has been spouting?

Yes, there is plenty to attack him on legitimately. No need to go for the spurious bollocks.AnatolyKasparov wrote: ↑Mon 29 May, 2023 2:08 pm Waters has a fair few "issues" tbh - and has for a long time. I presume you are aware of the pro-Russia stuff he has been spouting?

Was almost worth watching 123 minutes of awful football for that conclusion.

Anyone want to know what 125 year old army rations taste like?
