Morning refit
@sky -- thanks for the update .
I'm much interested in brain plasticity having had months of hospital and stroke rehab in 2009, and I'm still living with some reminders : just writing a cheque is difficult and when I try to talk too much I begin to sound drunk and even drool a little from the right side of my mouth ! If I'm too inactive like recently with the bloody rain my right leg begins to forget how to walk , so am off now for some exercise .
Google is full of info beginning with thiamine, B12 etc, but the main thing is to seriously want to improve ... which we all know
Good luck ! xx

Was it the 17th of JULY last year when Biden announced that covid was over (but you have to test before seeing him close up ...) and the new CDC boss wants to see her staff's smiles in-person , and the NHS says "just wash your hands implying it's OK to share virus-laden air"
and so on .
The prof is typical of those docs scientists professors LC sufferers and concerned others I follow on covid-twitter, but I've reached my 5,000 limit !

Good morfternoon.
First asylum seekers reportedly arrive on Bibby Stockholm barge
The first asylum seekers have arrived on the Bibby Stockholm barge in Portland
Prof Dame Jenny Harries, chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), told the Today programme that her organisation has a migrant team that expects to visit the Bibby Stockholm barge once the first asylum seekers have been moved there. Most of them would have a health assessment before they arrived, she said. Politics Live, Guardian - my emphasis)

Unusually I bought a hard copy of the Handmaid's Tale in Leclerc, impulse buy!
Remembered this bit on reading a tweet --
" The regime then freezes the bank accounts of all females, and takes away women's civil rights to own property and to hold down a job. " wiki
it could happen to any of us , by a bank hack etc etc

Re: Monday 7th August 2023
Neat summary
Not long now --
"" This would at least put Trump on notice that he will be treated like any other criminal defendant who violates conditions of release pending trial.
That’s what the rule of law is all about.
At this moment, about 400,000 criminal defendants are in jail in the United States awaiting trial because they didn’t meet a condition of their release. """
