Looks like the Tories are falling back on old favourites, to try and shore up their vote

RIP Sir Bobby Charlton.
Football genius and all round legend. To do what he did after what happened in Munich remains staggering.

So apparently Sunak's own Chancellor thinks the Tories are going to get battered.

According to the Spectator Tory activists in Tamworth struggled to get local party members and volunteers to canvass for them and across the country they're having problems finding candidates for council seats.
Never mind comparing them to the last days of Major's government, I'm beginning to get a distinct whiff of the Lib Dem collapse in 2015.

Brrrr, it's bloody freezing out there. Just back from watching England v South Africa with my fellow Scotland supporting mate and we were a bit worried there for...well the entire match.
First of all congratulations to England for playing their game of the tournament, their kicking was excellent and they were superb in the breakdown, but...what the hell happened to South Africa? It was as if someone had replaced the players that played against France with hapless, comedy clones who couldn't catch or pass a ball if their lives depended on it. They were inconceivably awful and as a result it was an absolutely terrible game to watch. Maybe that France game took a lot out of them, or maybe they thought England would be a walkover and hadn't prepared properly. Who knows.
If I'm honest England deserved to win it, they came with a game plan and executed it almost to perfection. If South Africa play like that against the Kiwis they're going to get hammered.

Re: Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd October 2023
Anyway so we've had a few bad takes of late as a result of by-election results so let's take a moment to reflect.
In Uxbridge, where Labour had never won, the Tories held on by their fingernails to the seat of a former Prime Minister. Idiots then took the wrong lessons from it. That it was all about Ulez when pollling had shown it was always a seat Labour would struggle to win. Everyone's favourite polling gollum John Curtice said as much. But a narrative was formed and both parties fell for it. In response one party decided to be even bigger twats, while the other chose to become even bigger cowards.
And now we have two new ones which took the Uxbridge narrative and rubbed its nose in its own shit.
Now apparently, if you are of a Conservative persuasion, the threat is from Reform so you have to be more right wing to attract those voters back. The problem with that is when asked most Reform voters say if they didn't vote for Reform they'd vote Green, or Lib Dem, or 'don't know'. They're classic protest voters. The kind of clueless imbeciles our democracy relies upon. The one thing they are not are Tory voters.

Labour are gaslighting for all they're worth, over Starmer agreeing Israel can commit war crimes.

Oh look, the Observer have bravely come out in favour of child torture. Here's a good thread breaking down some of the errors and lies in their piece

Dear refit , I'm of a generation that has no clue about dysphoria (whatever that is , psst I'm joking ) but is very concerned with a current war killing increasing numbers of civilians every day

Fixed your quote tag Frog
Re: Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd October 2023
This feels like an open goal, for Labour to appeal to pensioners
