Unlucky @sky re Covid. If it’s any consolation (I know it won’t be) Mrs Sonny got it a second time recently and it wasn’t so bad as no 1, so perhaps this strain is less virulent.

I enjoyed your review of Cummings’ cummings on TV. I watched an hour or so and have to agree with your assessment that he sees himself as always right. The justification of Barnard Castle was what made me gasp a little. Any rational person would have lied a tiny bit to themselves and given a small mea culpa, but he seems, how can I put it, totally irrational as far as propriety is concerned!

Get well soon!

@sky, sorry to hear you've got the 'rona, how many others at that wedding have it too, I wonder. Hopefully not the bride and groom.

Here's a review of 'Party Marty' at the inquiry.

The fog of bores

Had my latest Covid booster just a few weeks ago, would have recommended anyone here to do the same even before Sky's misfortune!

Though I note 50-64 year olds can't get a free flu jab any more (which reverts things there to the pre-pandemic position)

Yes, just slightly unfortunate that. I get how many Jewish people are currently very jumpy and nervous, but they should still try to stick to the facts.

(same applies to the other sides in this business, of course)

Something I've just found out, Likud use "from the river to the sea" phrasing in their founding charter. I guess they're guilty of anti-semitism and incitement against Jews then?

Likud are bad, yes. I don't think this is a controversial opinion tbh ;)

This from DC --

A few months ago I wondered when the Starmerkinder would be eligible to do their bit for the Motherland-- useful shit like manning checkpoints to make life painful for civilians, or the occasional chance to gun down an Al Jazeerah journalist , so I don't know how they felt about it then, but I DO wonder how the brats feel like all that now ?
