I will just ask pro-trans people on here - was absolutely insisting on no restrictions as far as sporting events are concerned, really a hill worth dying on?
Some flexibility on that, and they might have done a better job on carrying public opinion more generally.
But for the time being, they have lost. I doubt that will always be the case, but hopefully lessons will be learned going forward.

Ok, I'll bite. Who's asking for no restrictions for sporting events?AnatolyKasparov wrote: ↑Wed 20 Dec, 2023 2:09 pm I will just ask pro-trans people on here - was absolutely insisting on no restrictions as far as sporting events are concerned, really a hill worth dying on?

I've seen that view expressed loads of times on social media.

The funniest but about this is the assumption - and yes, I know Portes is a bit of a wind up merchant - that Allister Heath has any integrity to start with.
If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

Got a link?AnatolyKasparov wrote: ↑Wed 20 Dec, 2023 3:55 pm I've seen that view expressed loads of times on social media.
I've seen people say that, at non-competative sports days, it's not really an issue. No-one is asking for unrestricted access for trans people in professional sports.
You know that The Daily Wire had to scrap a planned documentary about the 'issue' of trans kids taking cis kids places in competitive sports, but they had to scrap it because they couldn't find anyone.

Anyway, the Brianna Ghey verdict does sort of put all this in perspective - hateful words have real consequences.

I missed this earlier - about time someone called out Wallis Simons. And Kemp can sod off too.
