The real point is that this change (though arguably the end objective remains the same) was publicly announced several months ago.
I don't know why certain left wing people have tried to present it as brand new today, but it is not honest.

I know we're not supposed to speak ill of the dead and all that but from what I remember wasn't he supposed to be a massive dickhead? I recall his colleagues gleefully putting the boot in when he inevitably came a cropper as a result of his greed and ego.
