Morning refit

Last night the News at Ten KC3 Special insisted on having on oncologist Karol Sikora, of the Great Barrington Declaration etcetc

"“I’m sick of doom-laden experts telling me what’s going to happen and then it doesn’t.” 'Professor Positivity' Karol Sikora, who predicted that we won't need a Covid-19 vaccine and that the UK will be back to normal by August, says he doesn't think a second wave is coming talkRADIO. "

That was JUNE 2020 .......

"It's just going to go away like SARS 2004 ..."

When serious people like Danny Altmann, Chris Pagel et al were saying they just did not know ...

PS Sikora obviously knows his cancer stuff, tho he did and still does shoot his mouth off about epidemiology, lockdowns etc where he displays a complete lack of humility …. !

I clearly remember Danny Altmann being interviewed by Gez Medinger at about the same time, saying that his preliminary ideas about C had all been wrong ..

The Article here doesn’t mention it’s about three Rutherford centres (from the thread)

And he is today trying to row back on it. saying "I'm not a betting man" - it then emerges he spread bet on cricket matches back in 2005.

Why is Sunak so bad at this stuff?

In today's £28 billion news, Starmer appears to still be sticking with it as at least an "aspiration". Deliberate pushback against the Treasury team?

Evening.

I guess the PopCons could have picked a better moment to launch since most people's attention is elsewhere.

But this tuff is completely nuts.

“The entire institutional framework of the UK is entirely geared against the sorts of goals that conservatives share. There’s a powerful network of bodies which share left wing group think.”

Huh?
