Evening AK

Been seriously skiving , watching some vids too .

This is a good one on the Russian propaganda stuff about they've come to save the persecuted Russian-speakers from the Banderite CIA-financed Nazis under the tool Zalenskiy.
This is a Russian speaker from Donetsk who learned Ukrainian at school and has been speaking it almost exclusively since 2022 ....

Probably.

Awful to admit that Thatcher was right about anything, but credit where it's due.

Starmer allies gripped by fear of Labour complacency amid byelection triumphs

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... n-triumphs
Josh Simons, director of the Labour Together group, which conducted the analysis, said: “For years, the evidence has shown that months out from an election, voters answer a different question to the one pollsters intend. They report dissatisfaction with the government, not the judgment they will make alone in the ballot box on polling day.

He added: “The Westminster bubble thinks Labour has it in the bag. But in recent years the bubble has had an excellent track record of getting it wrong. Those who want a new government in Britain would be unwise, even for a moment, to be complacent.”
Josh Simons? I'm sure I heard someone of that name making a prick of themselves just a few days ago. Oh yeah, here it is...

Someone needs to have a word and keep these 'Labour Together' clowns away from the media, the last time I saw one on Newsnight he was equally as appalling.

I do note that Scottish Labour voted for an immediate ceasefire yesterday.

No, that is the spin of Taj Ali (and you)

A reminder that we already had a ceasefire in this conflict, and it didn't last that long.

***SIGH***

Wouldn't it be better to say "there should be a ceasefire now and we should work with both sides to make it sustainable"? Rather than making the sustainability a condition of a ceasefire in the first place?

I mean, maybe we should want a bit more evidence for this than an SNP party hack? But whatever.

Most of them have genuinely vanished never to return - Berger is maybe the only one I can seriously see returning to parliament.

You can learn a lot in those hour-long chats .

I haven't listened to all of Jonathan's 600 or so daily hour-long interviews since the War exploded, but have still learned a lot of history recent and ancient.

Immersing myself in the data , joining those dots, it's become easier to detect where the Russian disinformation has been well implanted . One theme is Ukrainian Corruption, debunked in today's interview !

I'd never heard of a pop ball, but what's this about yo-yos being 'weaponised' in Australian schools? What were they doing, grafting metal spikes to them or something? I can just see Mel Gibson, striding the post apocalyptic wasteland taking out mohawked bad guys with his deadly yo-yo. And he wouldn't just launch it straight at them, oh no, he'd be doing tricks and stuff to distract them and once they were suitably impressed by his skills...boom! Right in the eye! Or maybe even cut their head off with a razor sharp string.

I also like the idea of Arnie taking on the Predator using only a slinky.

Heidi Allen stuffing her face there, not messing about with salad or chips, just a full plate of fried chicken. A woman after my own heart.

Chuka Umunna would fit quite happily back into Starmer's Labour party but I see he's currently busy trying to fight the capitalist pig dogs at JP Morgan from the inside by accepting lots of money from them.

Anyway I'm off up North again for the week, my Dad's somehow contrived to develop two different types of arthritis in his wrists in the space of a few weeks according to the consultant he saw. Apparently he's had to have the neighbour round to chop his veg when he's been cooking it's been so painful.

So I shan't be around for QT on Thursday.

Have a good week y'all.
