Good morefternoon, all.
Sunak giving Badenoch his full support, is it? Let's hope he doesn't come to regret that.

Quite right too, the "Auld Alliance" of SNP and Tories should always be exposed when they get up to their little games.

Really? From the reporting I've seen, it looks like Labour are being twats over trying to get their motion in first.AnatolyKasparov wrote: ↑Wed 21 Feb, 2024 3:03 pm Quite right too, the "Auld Alliance" of SNP and Tories should always be exposed when they get up to their little games.
But it's fine, it's not as if people are dying, while they piss about.
Aren't we all glad the grown ups are back in charge? The proper, sensible politicians.

Re: Wednesday 21st February 2024
The claim about threatening Hoyle was denied unequivocally, almost straight away.
Meanwhile, the unholy SNP-Tory alliance are talking of ousting him *before* the election, and if that doesn't happen the Tories are briefing they will break precedent by standing against him at the GE. For some reason, you didn't have the space to mention any of that though.
Here's a hint - its not actually about EVIL LABOUR and everyone else being spotless saints. Perish the thought, eh?
EDIT: and oh look, Hoyle's office have also firmly denied the Labour bullying claim - looks like certain people got a bit too excited too soon perhaps.

I'm pretty sceptical on the "public opinion" line, tbh

Re: Wednesday 21st February 2024
No, the SNP and Tories did a totally cynical and transparent Molotov-Ribbentrop style deal to screw over Labour.
And were then shocked when Labour didn't take it lying down.
Ultimately, the Tories pulled the plug because they knew there was a good chance their own spoiler amendment was going down to defeat.
Which means both the Labour and SNP amendments passed without a vote btw.
They won't have any effect on the government, but that is the case with opposition motions anyway.
And were then shocked when Labour didn't take it lying down.

You know Labour didn't have to submit their amendment, don't you? They could have just voted for the SNP oneAnatolyKasparov wrote: ↑Wed 21 Feb, 2024 8:06 pm No, the SNP and Tories did a totally cynical and transparent Molotov-Ribbentrop style deal to screw over Labour.

But then, that wasn't supportive of Israel enough.
