She also had North Sea oil, something her predecessors mostly did not. And basically wasted it.

It's always amazed me how some countries just can't look outside their borders to compare what their neighbours are doing differently .
Many years ago now I listened to a UK headteacher arguing that they couldn't do without corporal punishment, it was on Jersey Radio, 30 nautical miles away from France , beating-free for decades .

I have Shaun's book, also Aiden Aslin's. The latter underwent a RT 'confession interview' with his torturer standing right behind the RT 'journalist' .

Wes Streeting's war on the left ( nothing to do with his funders )A Youtube Short

" Was Streeting has declared war today on what he calls the middle-class left-wing members of the Labour Party who want to prevent him from privatising the NHS. That's nonsense. What he's actually saying is he'd rather pander to Rupert Murdoch than stand up for Labour principles "

R4 journo described his thing in the Sun as 'bombastic' . I avoided the interview .

Certain people seem puzzled why the Rayner "story" isn't "getting more traction".

Isn't one important reason that not that many actually properly understand it??

Photographer Paul Conroy was with Marie Colvin when they were targeted by Assad's artillery in Syria . She was killed, and he's back at work after hospitals.

Nice story about the group of infantry soldiers who learned how to do artillery with their captured RU 122mm, from youtube ! :-)

My favourite Tory MP !

" With a hint of mischief, Holt remembers the time that “a Labour MP quote-tweeted one of my videos and said: ‘This woman is appalling, she should stop inside’. I tweeted back: ‘How do I even know you’re a real MP? I’ve never seen you around parliament.’” "

6/4 Posting from the front, Stanislav Aseyev is Not Happy --
(DO Check his bio !)

BUT THEN, 8/4 ---
" Following public uproar after an apparent incident of a “revenge summons” for a whistleblower report exposing corruption in Ukraine’s Security Service, Ukrainian authorities have launched a criminal probe amid official acknowledgment that pressure on journalists is unacceptable.

On 8 April, the Prosecutor General’s Office announced they had launched criminal proceedings “on the fact of possible abuse of office and obstruction of the professional activities of journalists by employees of the SBU and the mobilization center.” The State Bureau of Investigation has been tasked with conducting the investigation.

Perhaps you should hand over Paula Vennnells Lady Mone and a few score others to the Ukrainians for prosecution ? :-)

I'd guess most understand that it's peanuts, compared with, say, Michelle Mone. Or even Johnson's wallpaper.

I was an accountant though not a personal tax specialist in any way, a friend once asked me how to avoid paying CGT on a house she'd built, lived in for a bit, let someone else live in rent-free, then rented out, etc. I had a lot more information than we have about Rayner but couldn't give her a definitive answer.
Tbf her main problem was that she hadn't kept all the receipts for the original work building the house. Oops.
